I mean the name of an anime doesn't change just because that's what it translates to in English, I find doing that to be incredibly freakin dumb. Crunchroll does it a lot and it's immensely irritating.

You wouldnt do it to a person. If someone is named Yuki Hime, when she comes to America her name doesn't suddenly change to "Snow Princess.", so if an anime is called Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate why on gods green earth would you try and purport that it's name is "Love, Election and Chocolate". What it translates to and what its name is are two completely different things.

Calling anime by the Japanese name when there is an English title that is easier to remember is pointless. It annoys the hell out of me when people say Kuroshitsuji, when Black Butler has much better alliteration. In fact, the original title for "Ghost in the Shell" was "Mobile Riot Patrol Squad." When the movie was released in American theaters it was given the more appropriate and better sounding title: "Ghost in the Shell." The Japanese creator loved the new title so much that the Japanese movie and manga series were renamed.

The same action was taken by the creator of the "Fullmetal Alchemist" series. The original title was "Hagane no Renkinjutsushi." Would you rather say "Hagane no Renkinjutsushi" or "Fullmetal Alchemist?" Again, the Japanese creator preferred the English titles and since then the series, it's spin-off, and subsequent movies have all been released in Japan under the name "Fullmetal Alchemist."

In some cases you would, though translating to Snow Princess seems a bit much, it's called a Pseudonym, and asian people do it all the time, Yuki is relatively easy to spell in romaji so there's really no need to have a pseudonym for that, however if it were something tougher to spell for anyone not familiar with romaji's they'd probably make a pseudonym for it.

That's basically the only reason they would change the name of an anime, some people don't have enough time to learn a second language or even romaji, they do this all for the convenience of others, and you'd get a lot less looks in a crowd if you're talking to your friend in public about 'Eden of The East' rather than 'Higashi no eden'.
