yeah I didn't want to jump in and be all "well actually MENT is a caps rage abbreviation for abridgment and there really is not difference between the two. Pace, Timing, and Style are all determined by the person who created them and is not dictated by any form of categorization. Thinking that way would only place unnecessary labels on an individuals work of art." That would just make me come off as a smart schmo.

Oh, my! Very well worded good sir, i must say. This is indeed an interesting topic. I would heartily enjoy discussing this with you more, but I am afraid this is quite the wrong thread for it. Perhaps it should take place in a thread designated for discussing whether or not MENT is a subgenre or simple an alternative label used (disregarding the style, which, as you said, is one's own uniqueness).

well an alternative label seems to be the consensus among the people who make them, a few people disagree. Those being the people who intend to us the label as a sub genre.
