And this could maybe sort of possibly be a trend in the Video Games subforum.

As I recall-my memory may be a bit fuzzy- the game seemed a little too open-ended for my tastes. Now, I'm as cool with sandbox games at the next guy, but I'm not so sure a sandbox RPG is really the way to go. It's like, "Ok, I just finished this excurciatingly-long task. NOW what do I do?? Guess I'll go ask some people for chores or shit they want me to do to get money SO I CAN DO THE HARDER TASKS LATER THAT REQUIRE A LOT OF WEAPONS AND SHIT", and it was back-and-forth in that manner for the LONGEST time. Not a whole lot of real story until probably late in the game...

Fair point.
One of the things I didn't like about it was that you visited the seaside town...ONCE. And that was it.
You didn't really need to go back there, unless there was a super awesome weapon in the market which HAD TO BE BOUGHT. (As I recall, there is in the second half of the game...I think.)
