Music Discussion Thread

I thought it would be interesting to discuss music here so let's give it a shot. I guess we can start this off with me saying something I find interesting and building off that.

Musician and singer Giorgio Moroder, responsible for the composition of the Scarface theme song 'Push it to the Limit', also recorded songs with Queen and ELO. He would also go on to do work with Daft Punk. What makes this interesting is that in the 70's Moroder recorded several songs that sound very similar to the sound we today associate with Daft Punk. Here are some songs that highlight these features best:

When it comes to music, I like listening to Ska and Eurobeat. When it comes to Ska, I try to stick with the less punk heavy Ska bands.



When I heard this Eurobeat cover of Zankoku na Tenshi no Te-ze, I thought it was pretty kickass.

yea but all of blood hound gangs songs are quite similar thats why I love them so much like this song
they aren't the classiest of bands

You are not a Moderator. Do not pretend to be as that classifies as impersonation. If you have a problem with a Moderator, you may work it out peacefully. That is all. If I have to get involved in petty disputes no one will like the outcome. I'm serious.

A song just needs to "click" with me for me to enjoy it. That's all I can really say as it's very hard for me to describe it any better. I really don't have any favorite bands or genres so my taste in those areas go pretty wide across the board.

I suppose I do have a preference for English lyrics over foreign ones though. It's difficult to get into a song that isn't sung in one's native language I feel, but I do have some exceptions.

(I also listen to a LOT of video game soundtracks.)

I was always a fan of hip hop even though I was raised listening to classic rock my dad always played. I don't like how the media portrays hip hop nowadays with all the flashy stuff they have but I enjoy some songs from artists that at least put effort in the lyrics and production. I love all kinds of genres in music as long as it gets me motivated through the day.

I just thought I would post this on here. This is by far the BEST music video I've EVER watched. Most of you know me as the music guy. You know how big I am into music, and when I tell you this is the best music video I've ever seen, that should tell you something.
