SAO - Sword Art Online Discussion

Post by ryou419 on Mon Aug 20, 2012 5:15 pm

I tend to be a major Otaku and I like pretty much any anime, but sword art, has stuck out from alot that I've seen since it has an original storyline, nice characters, and overall is very entertaining.
More or less I'm wanting to know others thoughts about the show, whether or not Kirito will finish the boss or what episode/floor he'll die on.
Mainly general discussion or if anyone needs something answered that they may not have understood.

I'm a fan of SAO too. Though I've read on sankaku that the animes story hasn't followed the light novels. Other than that I like how they try to emphasize the emotional trauma that the side characters go through. Kirito's character is awsome too which is refeshing since lately all we've had are wimps like Yuki with his rare moments of badassery and Haru from Accel World for example. I also bought a mouse matt from ebay too xD

From what I've seen so far I believe that Kirito will finish the game with Asuna with most of the main side heroines and friends dying off in the process. But this opinion will probly change after a few more episodes.

yeah, personally I think that, he will finish with Asuna, Klein, and Liz, and meet up in real life.
Or the developer will be the final boss and he'll sacrifice himself to save Asuna.

Btw I just noticed theres a typo in the thread name.
Also I think the final boss idea will probly be true. Another thing I like about the anime is how they have no sense of time I mean they have been in the game for over 4 months now. How the hell havn't they died from starvation. Food in the game only stops them from thinking they are hungry so in reality their bodys are fucked. Unless they have been moved to a hospital and are on the drip or something.

Sword Art and Accel are written by the game guy. SAO was interesting enough for me to read the novels. I like Accel but the reason I don't read the novels is because it works to well with the music and animation I feel like it'd be missing something without them :P

By the way, it's explained in the novels everyone who in currently in SAO was moved to a hospital where they will receive the "best medical service possible" so they can concentrate on beating the game. They did this via disconnecting the service and devices (but the battery had to keep running in the helmet, since they were still connected to the game [.exe] and if they tried to take it off they would still be vaporized) for two hours so they could be moved to the hospitals.

ah, that makes sense, I didn't think about it til it was brought up, since I don't read the novels due to overanimeing.

Thanks, I havn't gotten around to reading the novel yet so I guessed it would of been something to do with a Hospital. Wish they would of explained it sooner in the anime though.

I really also enjoy SAO quite a bit. I was kinda worried about the pace of the series being that I've read the novels and a normal 12 episode set wouldn't be enough to do the series justice, especially since the main plot begins finally at episode seven. But all those worries aside, I can't wait to see all the cool novel scenes animated.

SAO, even though it's been really good so far, still strikes me as a .Hack// rip off.
Still better then the Twilight Bracelet anime though
    YUUUP.

I think SAO's been pretty good so far, but am I the only one who thinks it's a bit of a rip-off of .Hack// ?

I don't think that's allowed here. Hate cannot be directed towards people, it just ruins things for everyone. C'mon. You can "dislike" the IDEA that SAO is a .HACK// ripoff, but not the people that think it.

I don't literally HATE anyone, and if I did it's not in any direct way. It's like saying you hate it when you step on a Lego because it hurts.

Okay, that's a relief. We here at Abridged-Moose forums just don't want people getting the wrong idea that we promote attitudes such as hate (we're trying to keep this a peaceful and normal forums after all). However, it is okay to hate Legos. Those gosh darn things. I swear, they find a way to move right under your foot, amirite?

Quit giving MegaBlocks such a bad wrap. They're just trying to raise money for their sick mother.
