What anime got you into anime

The first anime i ever watched was Dragon ball but the first anime i watched and knew it was anime is full metal alchemist
and after finishing full metal alchemist i wanted to read it. So the first manga i ever fully read was full metal alchemist.

I'd say dragonballz when i was younger but when I became an otaku, Lucky star or Shuffle.

Ranma 1/2 was my first anime.

It was a crazy perverted childhood after that.

DragonBall was the first anime to pop my anime cherry.

Anime It's hard to say I remeber seeing the original dubs of DBZ on UPN, but I think at that time I was watching G-force(Gotcha man) and I know I saw Akira around that age. I'm not sure when scifi was showing Galaxy Express 999 and Fatal Fury at that time.

My first anime was Princess Mononoke, which might have been a bit much for me when I was younger. First series was Pokemon after I was entranced by what Princess Mononoke had shown me.

Manga I don't remember unfortunately.

This leads me to a different question, what was the first anime ever? Furthermore, what was the first MENT ever?

Technically My first anime was Dragonball Z, But that's when I didn't care about anime. I like to think my first anime was Chobits since it kicked off my anime addiction, Plus is was the first anime I started knowing it was anime

The first anime I watched was Blue Dragon (looking back, that may be a bad thing), but the first anime that got me into watching more anime was FMA.

The first anime I watched was DBZ. First manga was "Boku no Hatsukoi wo Kimi ni Sasagu."

The first anime I've ever watched was probably Pokemon. At the time though I didn't know it was an anime. lol. I was a youngin. lol

The first manga I've ever read was probably Dragon Ball Z. I have been a fan of the show for years so I decided to get the series out from the Library. That was a very good decision.

The first anime I ever saw was gundam (I don't remember which exactly). My first manga was dragon ball z.

The first anime I saw was Pokemon, with my sister and cousin. I was like 5 at the time.

The first Manga I ever read was Black Cat. I enjoyed reading the series.

EXTRA- The first Hentai Doujin I ever saw was Milk Party with my (coincidentally)same cousin. We just laughed while reading it.
Sometimes we'll see each other and shout "DEM COW UDDERS!" and burst into laughter.

I can't remember my first, but it was probably Digimon. The first anime that I really liked though was Robotech.

Also, the 4Kids dub of One Piece is the reason I stopped watching anime for years when I was younger...

I feel like we should switch this topic to "What anime got you into anime." Since almost everyone's answer to the current one is bound to be either Pokemon, Dragonball z, or one of the other very limited number of anime's aired on English language (Or European) television.

For instance, the first anime I watched was pokemon, but the anime that got me started on a kick to watch way more anime was Sgt. Frog years and years later was an adult. I did wind up watching Tenchi when it aired on Toonami though, and never touched nor want to touch DBZ because I hate with a passion Akira Toriyama's "art".

I'm glad you got initiated into Anime with such an Amazing show, I love Sgt. Frog and Can't wait for more to get dubbed.
